Networking trains students to understand the fundamental concepts and technologies required to establish and administer a computer network. Students in this program learn network analysis and design, TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol), local area networks, wide area networks and troubleshooting. Programs supplement classroom instruction with lab work that has students working directly with networking technology.
Additionally Network Virtualization, otherwise known as the Cloud, prepares students for careers as network administrators, network engineers, and network specialists. This program provides a study of the skills necessary to plan, design, implement, and administer virtualized environments including storage processes, virtualized servers, and virtualized desktops.
Courses within the program prepare students for industry certification exams offered by Cisco (CCENT), CompTIA (A+), EMC (EMCPA in storage and cloud infrastructure), and VMware (VCP and VCP-DT).
